Chicken feet is a popular food in many Asian countries and eaten by many women for its anti-aging properties. Chicken feet is also said to be beneficial for breast growth, especially in the Chinese culture where girls are told that eating chicken feet will help their breasts grow.

So what is so special about these little things? And how can you get a hold of some?

Overall Benefits of Chicken Feet

Chicken feet contain trace minerals, protein and calcium but what most people know chicken feet for is their excellent source of collagen.  Collagen helps keep skin looking young and healthy and can also strengthen tendons and other connective tissue found throughout the body.  As a result of the strengthened tissue, chicken feet is said to be beneficial to the joints and can minimize joint pain and arthritis.

Though there are collagen supplements available, getting collagen from natural sources like chicken feet is best.  The body is able to better absorb these natural sources compared to those found in supplements.

Breast Benefits of Chicken Feet

Chicken feet can benefit the breasts in two ways. First, the collagen in chicken feet strengthens the connective tissue found in the breasts.  Since the breasts are made of mostly connective tissue and glands, this can help firm up the breasts and reduce sagging.  Second, the protein found in chicken feet can be a good addition for your breast enlargement routine because protein is necessary for new cell growth.

There are number of NBE’ers who have added chicken feet soup to their program and noticed a boost in their growth.  They also reported improved skin and hair as a result of eating chicken feet.

Chicken Feet Soup

Successful NBE’ers from Taiwan recommend eating chicken feet as part of any natural breast enlargement routine.  Chicken feet can be eaten fried, steamed, sauted or pickled.  A popular way to eat chicken feet among NBE’ers is to make chicken feet soup.  Below is a Chinese chicken feet soup recipe that includes papaya and peanuts, which are also believed to be beneficial to breast growth in the Chinese culture.

Papaya Peanut Chicken Feet Soup

10 Chicken Feet
200g Peanuts
1 Papaya
4 Slices of Ginger
Water
Salt (to taste)

Wash peanuts and let soak for 1 hour.
Peel and cut papaya into chunks.
Wash chicken feet and cut off nails.
Cut ginger into thin slices.
Put all ingredients into a pot.
Add water – enough to cover ingredients.
Bring water to a boil then lower the temperature and let simmer for 1 hour.
Add salt if needed.

An easier and possibly more beneficial way to get your dose of chicken feet is to make a stock from the feet. With the stock, you can drink as is or make into your favorite soup.  The process of making stock requires cooking at a low temperature for a long period of time so that all the goodness from the chicken feet are seeped out. This method is also good for those who can’t get past the ew factor of the feet.

Here is a simple recipe from SimplyRecipes for stock made from chicken feet.

Where to Buy Chicken Feet

So ready to give chicken feet a try?  Chicken feet is not something that is widely sold.  Here in Austin, chicken feet cannot be found at your local chain supermarket but can easily be found at local Asian and Mexican markets.  I was able to find pastured chicken feet from a local farm (Richardson Farms) that sells products at a farmers market.  It wasn’t on their list of products but I went ahead and asked since they sold other chicken products. Glad I did! They have feet for $3 per pound and their chickens are pastured, meaning they are free to roam the grass fields and eat the grass and bugs they find. Plus, they are hormone-free and antibiotic-free.  So if you have a local butcher or farmers market in your area, try asking if they carry chicken feet.  Otherwise, there are places like Blackwing that ship the feet frozen, which can get a little pricey.
